It's good to have a pulse!

(All products made in Penticton, BC & Hand-crafted in small batches)

Pulse Kitchen was established in June, 2016 in Penticton, BC.  We produce specialty food products that are 100% plant based vegan and gluten-free.

All of our products contain some form of pulses (dried beans, lentils, peas).  Pulses are very high in protein and fiber and very low on the Glycemic Index (good for diabetics).  When grown, pulses leave soil nitrogen enriched, thereby reducing the need for fertilizers.

The UN declared 2016 the "International Year of Pulses" to promote pulses as a primary source of protein and other essential nutrients as well as increase awareness of pulses' environmental and sustainability benefits.  As we like to say, "It's good to have a Pulse!".

Our focus is creating delicious vegan and gluten-free foods that contain pulses. Our cookies contain chickpea flour and our nut cheeses contain chickpea miso.

Sharp cashew Cheddar

Tangy and Tasty. Made with local Gluten-Free Beer for extra sharpness. Chickpea miso and nutritional yeast adds cheesy flavour.  (dairy-free, soy-free, vegan, gluten-free)

 
 
 

 

Cashew Kind of blue

Mild and Mellow.  Kind of looks like a blue cheese, but doesn't smell or taste like it. Gets "kind of blue" colour from pumpkin seeds and spirulina.  (dairy-free, soy-free, vegan, gluten-free)

 
 
 

 

almond chevre

Creamy and Crumbly. Made with lemon juice for tartness. Perfect on salads and pizzas. Crumbles just like feta or goat's cheese. (dairy-free, soy-free, vegan, gluten-free)

 
 
 

 

almond gruyere

Earthy and Elegant.  Made with white wine for depth of flavour.  Semi-Firm texture allows you to grate it over pasta, yet it melts nicely in a fondue. (dairy-free, soy-free, vegan, gluten-free) 

 
 
 

 

Chick-peanut butter cookies

Chewy, rich and satisfying.  Made with natural peanut butter and chickpea flour. Each cookie contains 8 grams of protein!

 
 
 

 

Ginger Spice Cookies

Soft, spicy and moist.  Made with organic buckwheat flour and almonds.  A wholesome, sweet and spicy treat.
